Planning, Legal and Ethical Consideration (U8: P2, M2)

Legal Issues:

One legal issue to consider is copyright, I should consider this throughout the whole of my photoshoot. This is a legal document that gives a person the rights to a certain product or name and allows that person to sue anyone who tries to steal it without permission. In this case I will ensure that all photos are taken by me so that all my photos are mine in my portfolio this means no one can try to steal the work that I have created. This allows me to avoid any legal issues throughout the creation of my portfolio.

Another legal Issue I need to consider throughout the whole of my photoshoot is consent, I will ensure that anyone who I ask to model in my photos will have given me a written form of consent before the photos have been taken this way I can avoid legal issues as the person had signed a physical form saying that agree to have their photos taken. I need to ensure that I have parental consent for my photos as well as the person I am using is under the age of 18 and therefore cannot give consent themselves.

Another legal issue I need to consider throughout the whole of my photoshoot is trespassing as the place I am taking my photoshoot in a public field which is near a lot of houses as a result I need to ensure that all of my photoshoot is only in the public field and doesn't include any houses in background.


Ethical Issues: 

One ethical issue I need to consider throughout the whole of my photoshoot is the location, as I am taking photos  in a public place I need to be respectful to the location this means I must not disturb the locals in the park and as well as this must not leave and rubbish in the location and ensure none of the location is damaged after use.

Another ethical issue I need to consider throughout the whole of my photoshoot is inclusivity, as football is a male dominated sport it will attract a male audience however I will be using a female model and therefore will also attract a female audience. This will also help support equal gender roles and women empowerment within the world of sport and particularly within football. 

Another ethical issue I need to consider throughout the whole of my photoshoot is breaks, as my model will be doing football skills and playing football it is very important to look after her health and safety by making sure she is drinking and eating and having time to rest to make sure my model is healthy the whole time and is fit to play football.

I exported my images as JPEGs to ensure the pictures maintain a good quality for all platforms that I will be using to share my portfolio (print and online). I also decided to save my photos as a PNG and as a Tiff. The good thing about saving my photos as a PNG as it compresses the image without losing the quality of my images. This helps when sharing the image as it's a small file size and still saves the quality of the image. By also saving my image as a Tiff it maintains the high quality and is a suitable type of saving method when wanting to print. Taking Photos (U8: P3, M3, D1)

The photos I've taken were taken on a Nikon D3300 camera.  These are images of the camera I used, on the Nikon camera I used a variety of setting this helped me to ensure that I made good use of the range of settings in order to take a good range of different shots. I also used the multi snap shutter speed almost like a burst of pictures this allowed me to capture the movements of the footballer while ensure my photos are detail and in focus so they are high quality. Furthermore, I also used a high setting F800 this is perfect to ensure the lighting in photos are correct and capture my footballer without the light being to dark or to too light. I used high exposure in some of photos with 1/100 exposure this allowed me to make the photo appear darker and add more shadow this also helps to make and highlight the subject and make the image more sharper and clearer. In some other photos I used a low exposure of 1/4000 this was used to help combat the sun in the photos as in some photos...
